PB on TV Recap, Xtreme Paintball: Beyond the Paint July 29th

This week showcased Adam "AJ" Johnson from Pasadena Bad Company or just BC as they're listed on the NPPL Rankings page. AJ is shooting the Spyder Electra Guns this year and playing in the Semi-Pro bracket. I thought the whole team was a spyder team but I saw BC players shooting G3s and shockers, so what do I know.
They're back to showing the skills challenges this week and AJ does the run through in 11.31 seconds. This puts him in 3rd place out of 3 so far.
Fun fact, AJ wears velcro sneakers when walking on the beach.
Games shown this episode were all BC games, starting with BC taking on TCP Machine. It's a pretty slow start and mid-game BC has an advantage but stall out a bit and end up getting a one for one, giving the game to TCP Machine.
The second game has BC taking on Denver Altitude. Altitude drops 3 players really fast, sliding all over the field due to a little rain that came and slicked up the field. BC again stalls out a little in the mid-game, but pull it out to win the game over Altitude. I saw a couple BC players with Egos this game.
Bizzie needs a new hair stylist.
Only 2 games on this show. Peace out, I gotta go pick up some velcro sneaks, you see AJ's girl? Damn! It's gotta be the shoes...

PB on TV Recap, Xtreme Paintball: Beyond the Paint July 22nd

This week the show broke from the normal routine of highlighting one pro and instead covered the whole crew, following them to various night clubs and bars. Incidentally there was some nice scenery in this episode.

The games shown this episode were the Allstar matches from Jax, where the North team (Billy Bernacchia, Kostia Federov, Tim Montressor, Jon Richardson, Brian LB Fow, Rusty Glaze, Josh Ouimet, JC Whittington, Prince Labiano, Alberto Chino Carbajal, Markus Nielsen, Frank Connel, Marky Ireland, Mark Lancia, and Josh Davey) played the South team (Alex Fraige, Ryan Greenspan, Nicky Cuba, Archie Montemayor, Zach Long, Chris Lasoya, Oliver Lang, Todd Martinez, Aaron Tholey, Tyler Harmon, Kenny Rosenberg, Thomas Taylor, Tommy O'Donnell, Chad Busiere, and Adam Johnson) for best of out of 3.
The South team took the first game with Fraige, Oli, and even Zach all playing the snake.
In game two the South takes it again with 6 alive, not counting all the playing-on JC does.
The 3rd game the South team gets a little crazy, since they've basically won the series, and gives the game to the North team.

PB on TV Recap, JT Sports College Paintball National Championship July 21st

Bea Youngs and Matty Marshall host the final between Illinois State and U. of Cali. Irvine at Lakeland Florida Central Florida Paintball.

It's semi-auto xball format so this hour long show consists of a single game. Good camera work and a couple of really competitive teams make this an excellent bit of PB on TV.

Irvine in Blue started the game well with two fast points but caught a major penalty midway through the first half giving Illinois the advantage and ending the first half 2/4 in Illinois' favor.
Illinois starts the second half with a gun penalty for a bouncing gun but manage to take the point regardless. The next point goes to Irvine, keeping the game interesting at 3/5 Illinois. The game finished with no more penalties and the teams swapping points, going into the last point with a minute on the clock and 5/6 Illinois on the board. Irvine pulls off an amazing point to tie it up at 6 a piece and putting the game into overtime.
Illinois wins the point in sudden death overtime to take the championship.

Both teams appeared to be players choice for marker selection, with Egos and DMs getting the most airtime. Although I'm pretty sure I saw at least one proto and a marq at one point.
